Stolen Eyes 02:25
I’ve been nothing all night Why should that change? I don’t have enough looks To rearrange
To suit your needs Whatever those are
To meet my price To slow your car Drive away I stole these eyes
 To watch my life
To turn your head
To miss this knife Edge of something I can’t explain You tell yourself It must be pain Drive away I need more than you have For less Than you want Some lines are from Dennis Cooper’s poem “Pair” from THE WEAKLINGS (XL), published by Sententia Books. Used with the author’s kind permission.

in the quietest blooming of the blackest buds
 in the cresting waters
of the tidal floods in the guttering shriek
 of the dying hawk
in the vanishing landscape of the painted rocks I feel I’m becoming Something new

between the blazing candle and the circling moth
there’s a love that’s shared and a love that’s lost between the sharpest razor and the slenderest wrist there’s a pang of pain and a pang of bliss I feel I’m becoming Something new silent spring
3.
Lithuania 03:17
All these years and all those miles I’m too long out of style Just an iron lung Trying to sing the mother tongue Trying to sing Lithuania I forget how it’s said
 The language is dead
I’m the ghost of someone else
 Someone who’s forgotten Lithuania
Single file Single file Home is the new exile Come back in September
When I stoke the embers My memories are better
According to the weather Come back, come back Lithuania
4.
This Road 05:45
Half past midnight and both headlights gone dead But I’m driving But I'm driving anyway This road isn’t dark enough for me This road isn't dark enough for me This road that leads me to you
5.
Lights out tonight The century’s gone dark They’ve boarded up the entrance To Millennium park There’s nothing left to burn Nothing that will spark Lights… Lights out tonight Put on your blindfold Make it easier to see
Together through the ruins That’s where I want to be
Sleeping in your arms Wrecked by history
Lights… Lights out tonight Waltzing in the outlines Of a thousand chalk marks The sound of your breathing My last landmark
6.
I know this girl she’s got a real long look She keeps me she keeps me wondering The stories she tells are never true but you and everyone and even I don’t care that woman’s got a way that woman’s got a way that woman’s got a way with everything this is my song for you don’t ask me to sing it
7.
Walking tall, dressed right Stepping in to the heart of the night In the shadows
Take off your ring In the shadows
 Let your blood sing
In the shadows Feel my breath swell In the shadows
Let my kiss tell In the shadows, in the shadows In the shadows We learned this song In the shadows Where we belong
8.
everybody out this evening is loaded for banter, fighting for nothing, I bury my handshakes in my pockets, then squeeze this thing to disguise my shaking hands, no don’t believe the pretty sounds I don’t believe the pretty sounds you might be here, it’s hard to know you might be outside, pretending to smoke; how do I tell you what I need: a monster on a keychain who will come to size - for me and nail me to the floor - just for me nail me to the floor, no - don’t believe the pretty sounds I don’t believe the pretty sounds don’t believe the pretty sounds I don’t believe them
9.
These are the words, these are the words These are the words and how we say them The words, the words, the words you said The words, the words, the words I said I’m trying not to repeat The words, the words, words you said The words, the words, the words I said The words and how we say them
10.
I am a Thing 02:43
I am a thing. There are pieces of me everywhere. You still sting, like a bite on the back of my knee I can sometimes see. I am a thing. There are pieces of me everywhere. We still sting, and when I do see you, I only stare. Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go And you know it’s true: all the places you are right now, I wish I were too, but you wished me away. yeah, you wished me away. I am a thing. There are pieces of me everywhere.

Swan Dive 02:50
This is a sad song From someone who doesn't have so long This is a last refrain
From someone who has lost their name
 This is a final chance
 To really meet your glance
I don’t know what to say: I’m not okay There are no more words That’s what I heard
 Let go

"You can find any number of influences on the music, but that doesn’t mean that the band are not originals. Parallel Collage requires repeated and careful listening. One of my favorite albums is the Stone Roses’ début t because even now, I find new sounds buried in the mix. Parallel Collage is similar, each time I’ve listened to it, I’ve found new sounds, both in terms of the music and the vocals. I’ve been listening to this album pretty much non-stop for the past few months, I highly recommend it.
- Politics/Letters
